Instructor is an Assistant Art Director for Hit TV Shows

Joe Pew has worked on Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Joe Pew, who received a BFA in Theatre Design from Texas Tech University and a MFA in Design from Brandeis University, is passionate about telling stories. By working in art direction, he’s able to create and reinforce characters, themes, and express a point of view through design. Starting as a Stagehand and Carpenter in live theatre, he rose through the ranks to become a Technical Director and Lead on projects that included Mack Truck and St. Petersburg Ballet. After making the transition to film and television in 2002, Joe has enjoyed an illustrious career as an Assistant Art Director for Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, How I Met Your Mother, and One Day at a Time, among many other projects. His work on Rules of Engagement received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Design for Multi Camera Series.
