COVID-19 Travel Advisory and Cancellation of Hybrid Classes

November 17, 2020

Dear FIDM Community,

In accordance with the proclamation of Governor Gavin Newsom and the November 13, 2020 statement from the State of California Health and Human Services Agency, California Department of Public Health, please be advised of the following:

  • Effective immediately and until further notice, all FIDM Student, Faculty and Staff who choose to travel outside of the State must, upon return, self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival, before returning to campus. Faculty and Staff, please advise your supervisor if you plan out of state travel, for details regarding self-quarantine or if you have any questions.
  • Upon returning to campus, either after the Thanksgiving Break or after self-quarantine, all employees must complete and sign the FIDM COVID-19 Workplace Safety Questionnaire. This is to be completed and turned in at the LA campus Security Desk. On the SF and OC campuses, the form must be turned in to the Campus Director.
  • All on-campus Hybrid classes scheduled November 23 through December 19, 2020 have been cancelled. Faculty, please see your Department Chairperson or Director for guidance. Students, your Department will provide additional information regarding your remaining classes.

We are taking these measures out of an abundance of caution, and most importantly, in order to protect the health and safety of all members of the FIDM Community. Thank you for your understanding, as we continue in these challenging times.

Sincerely and with best wishes,

The FIDM Board of Administration
