An Update Regarding Our Creative Business Majors
April 18, 2023
Dear FIDM Students & Their Families,
As we shared with students last week, FIDM’s fashion and design programs will be part of the expansion of fashion education at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at ASU, both here in Los Angeles and in Phoenix. ASU’s fashion program will now be named ASU FIDM, offering current fashion and design students an expansion of pathways for degree completion.
At the same time, FIDM is moving forward with our Strategic Plan to reimagine the college as a business school for the creative industries. We are in the process of aligning with an international business school that will offer students in our creative business majors (Merchandising & Marketing, Beauty Marketing & Product Development, Digital Marketing, Business Management, and our MBA) the opportunity to study both in the U.S. and internationally. We will be sending additional information on this in the next 45 days.
In the next few weeks, we anticipate sending further information to students and families about additional options for degree completion from FIDM, including external transfer pathways.
For information on individual degree pathway options available for specific majors/programs, we encourage students to reach out to their Department Chair or their Student Advisor in the Student Success Department (Suite 401, 213-624-1200, extension 5110).
We remain focused on student success and are committed to ensuring that students receive our dedicated attention and support throughout this transition.
