See Photos From the 24th Annual Art of Motion Picture Costume Design Exhibition Opening at FIDM

Costume designers, FIDM Alumni, and fashion fans celebrated the opening of the 24th annual "Art of Motion Picture Costume Design" exhibition at FIDM's Museum & Galleries with a chic soiree and viewing of more than 100 costumes from 23 films such as Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Straight Outta Compton, and The Revenent. The exhibition features all five Academy Award nominees for Best Costume Design: Carol (Sandy Powell), Cinderella (Sandy Powell), The Danish Girl (Paco Delgado), Mad Max: Fury Road (Jenny Beavan), and The Revenant (Jacqueline West). Costumes designed by FIDM Graduates Soyon An (Jem and the Holograms) and Mary Claire Hannan (The Longest Ride) will also be on view. As a tradition, the exhibition salutes and displays the former year's Oscar® winner for Best Costume Design, The Grand Budapest Hotel.
