Hiral Patadia is 2023 NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship Finalist

The 2023 National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation Next Generation Scholarship - the most prestigious student award given by the NRF Foundation - has narrowed to five undergraduate finalists including Hiral Patadia of FIDM.

The top recipient will receive $25,000 in the scholarship presented by SAS and will be recognized on stage at the NRF Foundation Honors in New York City as a future industry leader on January 15, 2023. Four finalists will each receive $10,000 scholarships.

After graduating from Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, Hiral headed to FIDM and earned her A.A. in Visual Communications. She is now pursuing a B.A. in Digital Marketing and will graduate in March 2023.

Each year, the National Retail Federation Foundation offers its Next Generation scholarship to juniors and seniors at university member schools who are pursuing a career in retail. The other four undergraduate finalists include Clay Lute and Megan Marr of LIM College, Olivia Meyer of Kent State University, and Lauren Schmahl of Indiana University.

The NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship is the pinnacle achievement for students interested in pursuing careers in retail. This opportunity was created for students of various academic backgrounds who have demonstrated leadership skills, previous retail experience and a passion for making an impact.

This scholarship develops skills in retailing, business and critical thinking, and prepares and encourages students to launch their career in retail and earn recognition among the next generation of leaders in the industry. Since its launch, more than $800,000 in funds have been awarded through the NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship.
