Krista Osborne

Technical Designer at Young and Reckless

Krista Osborne moved to Los Angeles from Arizona to pursue her dreams in the fashion industry. She began her FIDM career with a degree in Merchandise Product Development in 2011, followed by an advanced degree in International Manufacturing & Product Development in 2012, and her bachelors in Business Management in 2013. "I couldn't get enough of FIDM!" she says.

"I felt confident when starting my career since FIDM provided me with an immense amount of knowledge in several different areas of the industry. I was able to learn how to make complete tech packs, spec garments, and communicate using technical terms factories understand," she adds. "I gained the knowledge of how to take a concept all the way through the production process and into the hands of the consumer." 

As a Technical Designer at Young and Reckless, based in Los Angeles, Krista handles all technical design for both men's and women's international styles. "I communicate daily with vendors overseas to ensure products are being made correctly and to my designers' liking," she explains. "I also handle all men's and women's fittings where I am able to perfect the fit of the garments on live models."
