FIDM Grad Drew Scott Featured In Business Of Home's Ask An Influencer Series

Business Management Grad Drew Scott recently talked to Business of Home’s Caroline Bourque about his YouTube channel Lone Fox, including his techniques to engage with his audience, his work with other brands, and how he creates his content and his schedule. Of that, he says in the piece: “Trends change so fast that it’s really hard—say, you have a rough schedule of posting one TikTok and one YouTube video a week, but the content and the topic itself, for me, still needs to be fresh every week. I need to post right away, or it doesn’t feel like it can go as viral as that week that I was thinking of it, if that makes sense.”

He also talks about building his brand thoughtfully as he transitioned away from the focus on mens’ fashion his previous channel had. “What I really wanted was to have a brand that wasn’t like Drew Scott Design or something pertaining to me. I wanted to build something different—an aesthetic, a vibe and a whole community around Lone Fox, which I’ve been absolutely loving doing over the past three years.”

Continuing to build that community drives him. “I just love being able to work on my own house and to do something that I really love, and being able to share with people and to give them inspiration and tips for their own home.”
