Grad Johana Hernandez to Show at Paris Fashion Week

Designer Johana Hernandez of couture label GLAUDI will return to the historic Plaza Vendôme to show at Paris Fashion Week.

Johana's inspiration for her latest GLAUDI collection, Fall in Maldives, was inspired by an extraordinary woman who recently acquired a fabulous villa in the Maldives and features beautifully beaded crystals encrusted gowns in dramatic and bold island shades. Nominated by Latina Magazine as one of their “30 Favorite Stars Under 30,” as well as being one of Alegria Magazine's “10 Most Influential Latinas in Los Angeles," the Merchandise Product Development Graduate's star has been rising for years.

By the age of 22, Compton-raised Johana was the head designer for Seven7 Jeans where she also designed for Isaac Mizrahi Jeans, Elie Tahari, and others. Her couture and bridal collection, GLAUDI, which she founded in 2011, is inspired by generations of the strongest people who have influenced fashion in Johana’s life. In 2016, she opened a GLAUDI flagship store in Downey, just minutes from FIDM's Los Angeles campus.

Johana will show her latest couture designs at Paris Fashion Week as part of the Fashion Week Studio show on February 27, 2019.
