Johana Hernandez Opens GLAUDI Boutique in Beverly Hills

Merchandise Product Development Graduate Johana Hernandez has opened her second GLAUDI By Johana Hernandez couture and bridal store in Beverly Hills. Located off Rodeo Drive, the elegant space will host a two-day grand opening event with music, giveaways, games, and more on December 7, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and December 8, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Raised in Compton, California by immigrant parents who fled war in El Salvador and found work sewing in LA area factories, Johana enrolled at FIDM at age 18. By age 22, she was the head designer for Seven7 Jeans. She founded GLAUDI in 2011, and in 2016, she opened the collection’s first flagship store in Downey, near FIDM’s Los Angeles campus.

Johana, who has given back by building a school serving the impoverished villages in El Salvador where her parents were raised, recently told KABC: “To me, it’s like a dream. I’ve had a goal in my life to [be in] Beverly Hills for a long time, to open my store here because this where like the capital of fashion when it comes to haute couture."

Her Beverly Hills location is the latest in a career filled with accomplishments. Johana has shown at Paris Fashion Week, designed for stars such as Gina Rodriguez and Nicole Richie, appeared as a judge on Amazon Prime’s The Fashion Hero, and was a competing designer on NBC’s Fashion Star

“I just think hard work really does pay off,” she added. “I literally work nonstop, but I love it so much.”
