Grad Ron Thurston to Speak at NRF 2022

NRF 2022: Retail’s big Show is back in New York City on January 16, 2022 to January 18, 2022 and FIDM Grad, bestselling author, and Take Pride Today founder Ron Thurston will be speaking on a panel entitled, “Reframing the Store Experience: The 3 essentials for a disrupted retail world produced by One Door.” 

After studying Retail Administration (now Merchandising & Marketing) and Fashion Design at FIDM and graduating in 1985, Ron has held top positions in the retail industry, including at Tory Burch, Bonobos, Saint Laurent, and INTERMIX. He recently authored the book, Retail Pride, as a guide for retail employees, managers, and multi-store leaders who are looking to grow their career. 

Each year, FIDM Students attend NRF, including this year's team of students who made it to the final round in the 2021 - 2022 NRF Foundation Student Challenge. The top team will be named at NRF 2022, where Target CEO Brian Cornell and Honest Company Founder and Chief Creative Officer Jessica Alba will be key speakers.
