Film & TV Costume Design Creative Director Jacqueline SaintAnne Serves as Juror and Panelist at HollyShorts Film Festival

Emmy-winning Costume Designer Jacqueline SaintAnne, Creative Director for FIDM's Film & TV Costume Design Program, has been invited to be a juror for "Best Costume Design" and panelist on "Costume Designer as Storyteller and Culture Bearer" at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival taking place in person at the TCL Chinese Theaters on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame, and streaming via Bitpix TV, August 11-20, 2022.

Jacqueline SaintAnne was featured in the Winter 2022 Issue of The Costume Designer, the quarterly magazine published by the Costume Designers Guild. In the article, Jacqueline talks about receiving a call from FIDM four years ago, asking her to become the Creative Director of the Film & TV Costume Design program at the college. “I was deeply honored,” she told the magazine. “It’s a satisfying solution to my longtime desire to infuse costume design education with things I wish I had known when I started designing.”

Jacqueline holds a Masters Degree from the Ring Theatre at University of Miami and has designed costumes for 65 stage plays, 14 films, 13 television series, 53 movies of the week, and a staggering 61 operas. In addition, she designed over 250 commercials. She is President Emeritus of the Costume Designers Guild and won awards such as the Dramalogue and the Los Angeles Theatre Circle Award.

Co-founded by Theo Dumont and Daniel Sol, the annual Academy Awards® Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival is celebrating its 18th year. HollyShorts (HSFF) brings together top creators, industry leaders, and companies and has launched many filmmakers into the next stages of their careers. HollyShorts, a regular on the MovieMaker Magazine Top 50 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee list, also engages its community and spotlights short films year-round through monthly screenings, panels, and networking events.

The most recent edition of HollyShorts had six selections nominated for Academy Awards this year with two wins for Aneil Karia and Riz Ahmed’s The Long Goodbye and Ben Proudfoot’s Queen of Basketball.

Jacqueline's HollyShorts Film Festival panel discussion is August 13, 2022, at 2:30 PM, and the annual Awards Gala is set to take place on August 20, 2022.
