DEBUT 2020 Ticket Sales From Friday Show To Benefit Haute Healing Foundation

Each year, we donate DEBUT ticket proceeds from the first day of the show to a charity making a difference in the community. Last year FIDM chose Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation. This year, we’re proud to announce that ticket proceeds from the Friday, April 3, 2020, show will be donated to Haute Healing. Ticket sales from the DEBUT gala event on Saturday, April 4th, will benefit the FIDM Scholarship Foundation.

Founded by Pediatric Anesthesiologist and FIDM Fashion Design Alumna Dominique Aimee Jean, Haute Healing’s mission is to bring the gift of hope, self confidence and well being to chronically ill, terminally ill, homeless or disadvantaged children and young adults.

Haute Healing provides youths with full beauty and grooming services and pampering products, makeovers, and professional photoshoots, with the assistance of volunteer professional wardrobe stylists, hair stylists, makeup artists, nail artists and fashion photographers.

The DEBUT Runway Show is held each spring and features designs by graduating students in the Fashion Design Advanced Study program, as well as work from Interior Design and Textile Design students.

The event attracts nearly 10,000 people and concludes with the DEBUT Runway Show & Gala, a scholarship fundraising event attended by industry notables, FIDM Alumni, and fashion celebrities.

Dr. Dominique Aimee Jean spoke on our “Alumni Entrepreneurs Making a Difference” panel at our Fall Open House event on the Los Angeles campus.
