MBA Grad Zahra Marchand is a Financial Advisor at Ameriprise Financial

Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, where she earned a bachelor's degree from Shariaty Technical and Vocational University, FIDM Graduate Zahra Marchand moved to the U.S. in 2008. After receiving a Professional Designation degree in Fashion Design from FIDM, she decided to expand her knowledge and develop leadership skills by pursuing a MBA.

"FIDM's MBA Program was a rich source of information and opened many doors to thriving career opportunities," said Zahra, who graduated in 2018 and is based in Los Angeles. "The MBA Program helped me to understand collaboration and team work. Through the courses I learned how to tap into creative solutions to significant challenges."

She said she learned helpful research skills and that the program prepared her to enter the world of business as a professional. "I am very grateful towards my FIDM Instructors for their guidance and endless care toward my career," she said. "I participated in several internships during my practice and found many job opportunities through the Career Center, which led me to my wonderful career today." 

Zahra is currently a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial. She holds Series 7, 66, and Health and Life Insurance licenses. "I am working with individuals and businesses at every financial level—whether it’s saving for college, tax and estate planning strategies, retiring the way they want, making smart investments, or anything else," she explained. 

"I take the time to understand what’s truly important to my clients, allowing me to tailor and personalize comprehensive financial planning with a broad range of solutions to help them prepare for the expected and unexpected things in life. As a result, they can feel more confident and secure about their financial future." 

Zahra said she enjoys the diversity and analytical nature of the financial industry and serving others. "I believe through my career I can be an educator who creates a financial road map and finds solutions along the rocky path of markets for my clients and track them along the way until they achieve their goals confidently," she added.
