FIDM Instructor Chana Messer Featured in Adobe Newsletter

Graphic Design instructor Chana Messer was recently featured as a Community Superstar in Adobe InDesign’s October newsletter. Having worked with Adobe for 18 years, Chana is currently an Adobe Certified Expert/Instructor, Adobe Education Leader, and a Subject Matter Expert writer for Adobe Certified professional Exams, and specializes in a number of their products, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

“Being part of the community let me into the inside world of graphics and product development. I am part of many pre-release groups that help develop products, and as such I keep exploring and learning the new features, and with that have new challenges to create better tutorials and more exciting curriculum for my students,” she explains in the newsletter.

Born and raised in Israel, Chana received a BFA from Tel Aviv University and advanced degrees in printmaking and computer graphics from Pratt Institute and Center for the Media Arts, respectively, and has worked as a fine artist, graphic designer, trainer, curriculum writer, and public speaker for over 30 years. Her work has exhibited in Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, New York, across South America, and Israel. She also owns a Los Angeles-based design studio, Mac in Art, and has taught at universities such as UCLA, USC, Otis College of Art and Design, and Parsons School of Design. She began teaching at FIDM in July 2021.
