Rogue One and La La Land in Costume Design Exhibit
The FIDM Museum's annual exhibition, "Art of Motion Picture Costume Design," has become a tradition for LA locals and movie lovers alike. This year, we celebrate the exhibition’s 25th year of showcasing excellence in film costume design. Explore the rich history of this exhibition and take a closer look at your favorite costumes from the movies of 2016.
View over 100 costumes from 23 films, including Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, La La Land*, Nocturnal Animals, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them*, Allied*, Florence Foster Jenkins*, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Fences, Hidden Figures, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, Suicide Squad, and Star Trek Beyond. It's a tradition to salute and display the former year's Oscar winner for Best Costume Design, which was Mad Max: Fury Road (pictured above).
The "Art of Motion Picture Costume Design" runs February 7, 2017 to April 22, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Tuesday through Saturday), at FIDM's Museum & Galleries - On the Park, 1st Level, FIDM, 919 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Admission is free to the public.
