Scholarships Available to FIDM's Black Community

The FIDM Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 1978 with the express mission of providing financial assistance to postsecondary students in their pursuit of a higher education degree in the creative industries of fashion, interior design, entertainment, and the digital arts.

Primarily funding for the Foundation comes from donations of merchandise from over 400 manufacturers, retailers, and wholesalers, typically in the form of clothing, accessories, fabric, cosmetics, and home furnishings. This merchandise is sold in the FIDM Scholarship Store and proceeds from store sales generate scholarships, from $1,000 to $5,000, for current students.

In addition to providing our own scholarships to eligible students, the FIDM Scholarship Foundation is also a valuable resource for learning about scholarships offered from other organizations that are geared toward the FIDM Student.

In support of our renewed commitment to upholding diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, we collaborated with the FIDM Scholarship Foundation and put together a list of scholarships available to Black students.
