Grad Returns to FIDM as an Instructor

Olamiposi Somoye is a patternmaker at UNIQLO

Olamiposi Somoye received an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Design and Bachelor of Science in Business Management from FIDM before launching her own clothing line, Rayo, in her native Lagos, Nigeria, which she designed and ran for four years. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she was the Studio Manager of Sew FYI and is presently working as a Patternmaker for UNIQLO. Olamiposi is also known as a Creative and Art Director for editorials and has published her work on Paper Magazine’s website.
