MBA Grad Natasha Pavlica Launches Consultancy Business

Since her 2015 graduation from FIDM, Natasha Pavlica has worked consistently in the industry, and eventually noticed a gap she decided to close. In 2021, she started Outsourced Fashion Consulting as a resource for brands to connect to the best options in product development and production.

Originally from Colombia, Natasha moved to Ecuador when she was 8, and then to the United States in 2011 for college. She graduated from FIDM with her B.A in Design, focusing on Fashion Design, and her MBA, and then transferred to UCLA for further graduate studies. We caught up with this entrepreneur to learn more.

Please tell us about your company, Outsourced Fashion Consulting. We offer consulting services to fashion brands, emerging designers, entrepreneurs, etc. We specialize in sourcing, product development, and production. We have close relationships with factories all over Los Angeles and factories overseas in India, China, and Colombia. I started my company in 2021 when I noticed a gap in the Industry.

What are your ultimate goals for your business? I want to be able to support brands, fashion designers, and entrepreneurs with brand growth. We want to be a very well-known consultancy company and be the go-to for brands of all sizes. I also want to make sure I help increase the number of jobs in the industry, making sure factories always have consistent work.

How did FIDM help prepare you for your career? I had amazing teachers who told me very early on that I needed to start interning as soon as possible, and that I needed to turn myself into someone indispensable in the work space. I have carried those words with me since I first started interning in my second quarter at FIDM. FIDM also taught me how to work under pressure. It taught me how to give the best of myself, and to not give up until I reach my goals.

Anything else you’d like to share? I would like to add that I came from a country that offers no professional growth. I left my family, and most importantly my mom to come to the United States to become someone and make a real change in this industry and despite all the obstacles I never gave up. This September is my 11th anniversary in Los Angeles.
