Instructor is Associate VP of Global Marketing and Digital Sales at Pixi Beauty

Beauty Marketing & Product Development Instructor Mindy Chun grew up in a salon environment since her mom was a stylist. Believing she should work in a "serious" industry, Mindy spent 10 years marketing financial and consumer products, including a stint at Mattel, but made a pivotal decision to marry her passion for beauty and marketing.

After working at Orly as a Brand Manager, Mindy joined the popular beauty brand, Pixi by Petra. "I love that the brand focuses on the importance of skincare, natural beauty, is very accessible, and conveniently sold at Target as well as online," she says. In her role, Mindy manages the overall marketing strategy, social media, influencers, and ecommerce marketing. 

She's currently teaching Introduction to Cosmetics Industry, a course that takes students through the step-by-step process of how a beauty product goes from concept to shelf. "I love the process and I love that my students are so young and passionate," she says.
