FIDM and UNIQLO Team For Seasonal Style Refresh Event June 9 in DTLA

FIDM and UNIQLO are partnering for a Seasonal Style Refresh event with A Vintage Splendor on Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at their location at The Bloc in Downtown Los Angeles, just down the street from campus.

FIDM Students were tapped to create unique looks that incorporate textiles from UNIQLO's All-Product Recycling Initiative and elevate them into harmony between sustainable thinking and artful design. Participating students' looks will be displayed in-store at the event, and guests are encouraged to bring gently used clothing items to donate to UNIQLO's All-Product Recycling Initiative, which distributes the wearable items to refugees, disaster victims, and others in need worldwide.

UNIQLO will rotate its installation of FIDM Student designs every two weeks, all summer long. You are invited to vote on their Facebook Page to select the three most popular upcycled looks by liking the photo in their album. The three students with the most votes will win scholarship money towards their continued education at FIDM, and their designs will go on display in August at the UNIQLO store location at The Bloc.
