How did your advisor help with the process? Cathy was there for me from the beginnning to the end; she helped me throughout the whole process. She kept in touch with me to make sure I had everything done and would also call me. I thank Cathy Chambers for guiding me through this process--she's great and also very supportive.

Tell us a bit about yourself. I grew up in Riverside, CA. I'm the only child. I love makeup, fashion, working out, and taking pictures.

What are your proudest accomplishments so far? Doing well in school and getting accepted to FIDM. Another one of my proudest accomplishments is volunteering in a convalescent home and making the elderly feel happy and loved.

What made FIDM right for you? FIDM is the right choice for me because it has the major that will help me work with different makeup brands and one day have my own makeup line. It's one of the best schools, and helps many people follow their dreams. After graduating from FIDM, I will be doing what I love in the beauty industry. At an Open House, I talked to some graduates and they gave me information about the program and that's when I knew that this school was right for me and that this was the major I really wanted.

Describe your entrance project. My entrance project consisted of three makeup products: a setting spray, lipstick, and eyeshadow pallete. They were all for any gender and ages 15 and up they all work for any type of event. The lipstick was a nice neutral color. The setting spray helps you keep your makeup nice and glowy all day. The pallete had some wild colors but also neutral ones so that led me to name my pallete Classy But Wild.

What are your career goals? My career goals are to be successful and become a businesswoman with my own makeup line. I hope to grow the beauty industry for both men and women and make them feel confident. Also, I want to be able to bring out my ideas and be creative with any products I make.

What do you expect to learn at FIDM? I expect to learn new materials and skills FIDM will teach me. I hope that anything I learn in those four years I will be attending FIDM will help me in the real world. I also hope my knowledge in the beauty industry will expand.
