FIDM Alumna NIcole Chamberlain Opens Shop

FIDM Alumna Nicole Chamberlain got off to such a strong start with her e-commerce site, that she has decided to plunge into bricks-and-mortar a year later. After the Maryland native returned to her hometown of Berlin, Maryland, she launched shopbackeast.com an online women's apparel retailer. Demand for the eclectic selection of "boho chic labels with an LA vibe" at an affordable price was high enough for Nicole to open the Back East Boutique in West Ocean City, on the Maryland shore. Nicole says the entrepreneurial spirit took root during her student days at FIDM, where she headed right after high school. "(It was) more than an education for me, it became a creative outlet, a place where I could be inspired and let my passion grow."
