How did your advisor help with the process? Margaret was very helpful throughout my admission process and helped me to not be as nervous as I was. I'm one to ask a lot of questions for reassurance, and she was always willing to work with me no matter how many questions I asked her -- she was just a phone call away. Margaret was my sister's Admissions Advisor back when she attended FIDM, and she gladly took me as one of her students with open arms. 

Tell us a bit about yourself. I love makeup. I love not only knowing how to apply it, but how it can make a woman feel so confident and good about herself. I knew I didn't want to be a cosmetologist, even though I love doing other people's makeup. I wanted to go more in-depth and work with the companies that create the products. My sister, a graduate of FIDM, was my inspiration. She majored in Merchandise Marketing and she would always tell me stories about what happened at work, and I can tell she is so passionate about her career. I truly admire her determination to follow her dreams and where it got her to today. 

What are your proudest accomplishments so far? Being accepted into FIDM as a junior in high school is such a huge accomplishment to me because this is my dream college and it gives me great pleasure to say that I got into one of the best schools on the West Coast.

What made FIDM right for you? I knew FIDM was right for me the second I stepped into the Career Center at my high school. At that time, I didn't exactly know which major to look into until I came across FIDM and saw the majors they offered. When my eyes spotted the words "Beauty Industry Merchandising & Marketing" a switch flipped telling me that that was it. 

What do you expect to learn at FIDM? I expect to learn more about the beauty industry and will apply for internships so I can learn while gaining work experience.
