FIDM SVA Visits Patriotic Hall in DTLA

FIDM SVA Visits Patriotic Hall in DTLA

Last week, the Los Angeles County Department of Military and Veterans Affairs invited Student Veterans of America (SVA) FIDM Chapter to tour Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, located on Figueroa just blocks from our LA campus, to see the historic building and get familiar with the services they offer veterans. SVA President DeMarkus Burks gathered literature to distribute to all the members of FIDM SVA.

Patriotic Hall is listed on the California Registry of Historical Places. Some of the services veterans can find help with include compensation claims, medical and mental health referrals, education, home loans, and legal services.

They extended a special invitation to FIDM Students who are women veterans to their upcoming 2019 Women’s Veteran Summit, scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2019, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall.

The summit will reveal exciting news for women veterans and their families. Attendees will be treated to lunch, special beauty services, guest speakers, resources, benefits updates, and giveaways.
