Bri Emery Designs a Keds Collection

Bri Emery Designs a Keds Collection

Designlovefest's Bri Emery has designed some cool collaborations since graduating from FIDM, and now she has her own Keds collection!

The Los Angeles-based designer and social media superstar first gained fame for her popular lifestyle blog, Designlovefest, which has since blossomed into a full-blown design studio, spearheaded by Bri's playful and feminine aesthetic. Keds recently teamed up with the creative director and product designer for a special collection of shoes that showcases her love of simplicity, special materials, and Scandinavian design. "I really love how Keds is highlighting women," Bri said. "They were so open to my ideas and gave me full reign with creativity. They really cared about my story and process."

The Keds "Ladies for Ladies" collection, which highlights sneakers "made by ladies, for ladies," includes one sneaker, two slides, and espadrilles. "I really wanted to design a line of shoes that felt simple, special, and affordable, something you could wear all summer and they could match with just about anything," Bri wrote in a blog post detailing the collaboration, which is on sale now. "You could dress them up or down. I wanted nice materials and details like the perforated leather, rose gold, and suede. I also wanted a more muted pink color so it didn’t feel over the top girly but still felt true to the Designlovefest brand." Bri noted that they went through many different rounds of designs and says she's "really happy" with the end result.

Bri, who received a degree in Graphic Design from FIDM, has created original concept campaigns for countless brands and recently launched her first travel collection at Target. She continues to work on product lines, ranging from fashion to interiors, and has been featured in publications such as Elle Décor, Apartment Therapy, HGTV, Martha Stewart Weddings, and the Los Angeles Times, among others. Designlovefest Studio, an offshoot of her blog, offers full-service graphic design and branding. Since launching in 2011, Bri has worked with brands such as Procter & Gamble, Pantene, Benefit Cosmetics, Gap, Gorman, Nespresso, Samsung, Nordstrom, and Banana Republic.
