FIDM Alumna Mingo Passes Rigorous Exams and Joins United Scenic Artists

Film & TV Costume Design Graduate Ashley N.V. Mingo AKA Mingo has just passed the rigorous exams for and will become a member of United Scenic Artists. USA is the oldest and most prestigious designers union which started in New York and is joined by theater artists in Costume Design, Set Design, and Lighting Design. "Congratulations Mingo, and may you enjoy an exciting career in film, television, and theatre!" said FIDM Film & TV Costume Design Creative Director Jacqueline SaintAnne.

Mingo designed costumes for "We Were Meant To," a film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. 

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mingo first attended Indiana University of PA, where she graduated with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising before heading to Los Angeles to attend FIDM where she earned A.A.s in both Fashion Design and Film & TV Costume Design, finishing her studies in 2020.
