Ana Carolina Leisner is 2023 FSF Scholarship Winner

The Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF) Scholarship Committee has announced B.S. Beauty Business Management Student Ana Carolina Leisner as the winner of a $7500 scholarship in the 2023 FSF Scholarship Competition. Her strategy case study on “The Future is Now” explored beauty retailer Sephora partnering with Obsess, an experiential eCommerce platform that enables brands and retailers to create 3D 360 virtual stores on their websites.

“When I read the case, I fell in love with it because I have always been interested in business strategies linked to marketing strategies,” said Ana Carolina Leisner. “Reading the prompt sparked my creativity and passion for creating something for the future. The case asked for was ‘Welcome to the Digital Age, Where you Will Guide Your Brand into the Future.’ So, my project focused on creating a welcoming and inclusive beauty space shopping experience on metaverse for all and expanding through direct-to-avatar as the new direct-to-consumer."

"My idea was that Sephora should partner with Obsess to create a 3D 360 virtual reality shopping experience on the metaverse with a real-time, AI-Powered, fully animated 3D Avatar for the first time in the beauty industry. The avatar is a fully interactive and backed-up database that will help customer to navigate through the platforms and recommend the right products by expanding through direct-to-avatar as the new direct-to-consumer.”

Ana Carolina graduated with her A.A in Beauty Marketing & Product Development at FIDM and is now on her junior year of the Bachelor of Science in Beauty Business Management program. She has also completed courses in Fashion and Design at FIDM. “I’m interested in both Beauty and Fashion,” she said. “I think they are very much correlated and I would love to have as much knowledge as I can on both industries.”
