Your Path to a Bachelor's Degree

Our program gives students the skills to develop garment prototypes, research and develop new concepts and products, apply and approve fabric and trim at all stages, make informed global supply chain decisions, solve problems using current industry technology, maintain brand and design integrity, meet global compliance and quality standards, and plan, develop, and present assortments for diverse market segments.

As part of their final portfolios, students create working prototypes, suggesting design solutions utilizing the latest technologies.

This program allows students who have completed a related Associate of Arts degree from FIDM or another accredited college or university to specialize in the field of apparel technical design. The program provides a sequential curriculum that fosters creativity, professional knowledge, technical expertise, critical thought, and a global perspective. Students obtain practical experience through required internships and industry sponsored events and become proficient in prototype development, fit analysis, and supply chain management.
