What if all your college courses were hands-on and specifically related to your major and your career goals? Students in FIDM's intensive Bachelor's and A.A. degree programs are taking courses like Concepts in Trend Forecasting, Digital Cinematography, and Package Development & Design. Class projects include working with execs from companies like GUESS, 7 for All Mankind, Disney, bebe, and Signal Snowboards. Internships and part-time jobs go hand-in-hand with the curriculum. When our students graduate they have the skills and the work experience to launch their career.
Although our programs are intense and rigorous, FIDM is transfer friendly:
With transfer credit opportunities and degree options, we make the transfer process to FIDM as smooth and easy as possible. Transfer applicants are welcome to start any quarter and there's no minimum number of units required.
FIDM awards transfer credit for coursework taken at regionally accredited colleges and universities (classes from non-regionally accredited colleges which derive educational status from a specialized accrediting agency will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
Note: Consideration will be given for courses that are equivalent to a corresponding FIDM class within the student's major. AP scores of 3 or better are transferable as well. FIDM also offers CARE (Credit for Academically Relevant Experience) for students who can demonstrate proficiency in a subject that is required for the student's major.
FIDM's Professional Designation Associate of Arts Degree programs are transfer programs for individuals with an Associate, Bachelor's or higher degree, or a certified international degree, who wish to add a new field of specialization. These programs consist of concentrated and intensive study in one of FIDM's specialized majors.
FIDM's Advanced Study Associate of Arts Degree programs are open to FIDM's own graduates. These focused one-year programs allow students to master a specific concentration and add another dimension to their career within their unique area of study.
Students who have earned an A.A. Degree or a Professional Designation A.A. Degree from FIDM may build upon and enhance their skills via one of our eight Bachelor’s Degree programs.
