A Unique Approach to Education
Our students want to embark on their college education and career development simultaneously, and they want choices. Students are accepted into one of our specialized Associate of Arts degree programs packed with 16-25 challenging courses per major. They dive right into their coursework and every course is applicable to their major and their career goals. This academic preparation provides students with a foundation of technical, leadership, and strategic skills needed to begin their career from day one.
Students who complete the Associate of Arts degree can begin working in the industry right away or continue on at FIDM to acquire additional degrees:
Advanced Study Degree in Entertainment Set Design & Decoration, Fashion Design, Film & TV Costume Design, Footwear Design, Interior Design, International Manufacturing & Product Development, or Theatre Costume Design
- OR -
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

Internships and Part-Time Work
Career Development is the cornerstone of our education and opportunities for student internships abound. Each program's department, as well as our Career Center staff, works with our incredible industry partners to develop special internships and other part-time employment opportunities for our students to complement their coursework. Many of these internships lead to full-time employment upon graduation.
