WithIt Scholarship Program
WithIt, a non profit organization supporting women in the home furnishings industry, established the Scholarship Foundation (501C3) to recognize and nurture the academic endeavors of preeminent college students enrolled full-time in fields of study that would logically lead to careers in the home and furnishing industries.
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Since 1999, WithIt has awarded over $132,000 in tuition scholarships to qualified young women in areas of study that apply to the home industries: Accessory Design, Architectural Design, Forestry, Furniture Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Sustainable Design, Marketing or majors related to the home and furnishing industries.
Students must be a full-time college sophomores or juniors in good standing at the time of application. Student scholarships are presented annually in July and funds must be used for tuition at an accredited institution of higher learning. In addition to tuition money, scholarships include a WithIt student membership, paid tuition to the annual professional conference, a mentor in your field and assistance in securing an onsite internship at a furniture-related business.
CONTINUING EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS
In 2017, WithIt extended their scholarship awards to women in the industry who are continuing their education. Applicants need to have worked for a company in the home and furnishings industry for 5 years.
PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
In 2018, WithIt established a fund to honor founding member Kathi Cunningham to help women in the industry attend the annual conference. The scholarship provides assistance with the conference registration fee. Nominations are submitted annually by members.

Additional Selection Criteria
Student Scholarship Eligibility:
The applicant must be a a full-time college sophomore or junior in good standing at the time of application. Scholarship funds must be used for tuition at an accredited institution of higher learning by the date given with the scholarship.
Professional Woman's Continuing Education Scholarship
Eligibility:
The applicant must be 25 years of age and have worked in the home and furnishings industry for at least 2 years. Must be enrolled in accredited program during 2022.

Only one application per student. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All submissions should include the following:
- A complete application form signed by the student.
- An official university transcript indicating the student's grade point average and the student's class rank. This must be sent by the school or student's faculty advisor.
- Three letters of recommendation - two from instructors and one from a personal connection.
- A 300 word essay on why you are a candidate for a career in home furnishings.
- A high resolution (300 dpi) photo of the candidate.

- A 300-500 word essay from the applicant on your career aspirations in the home and furnishings industry and why this course will benefit you or your business.
- Course description from institution or organization.
- Bill or estimate from the institution or organization showing the costs and fees.
- The address of the Bursar or organization for release of the check should the professional receive the scholarship.
Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis as they are submitted to WithIt for courses during the year 2022.
