The main campus features study spaces designed to inspire creativity, the largest fashion library on the West Coast, state-of-the-industry classrooms, and the world-class FIDM Museum & Galleries which houses the Study Collection dating back to the 18th century.
The campus is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles just steps from the Fashion District, The Broad, Walt Disney Concert Hall, STAPLES Center, L.A. LIVE, and the Grammy® Museum. Students are walking distance to the Metro, Whole Foods, and a multitude of coffee shops, restaurants, and galleries.

The Los Angeles campus has classrooms and workspaces in Downtown Los Angeles, including an Annex within steps of the main campus.
FIDM's Hope Street Annex facility is located at 800 S. Hope Street. The facility provides lecture classrooms on the ground floor for students of all majors. The Hope Street Studio, located on the fifth floor, houses FIDM’s state-of-the-industry Textile Design Studio, Print Lab, Pigment Lab, Pattern Labs, and Sewing Rooms.

The FIDM Library is one of the largest specialized fashion libraries in the United States. Besides its vast collection of books, periodicals, and trade publications, the Library is noted for its Textile Design & Research and Textile & Materials rooms, both of which give students exclusive access to materials and industry resources. In addition, FIDM alumni, industry researchers and scholars may visit any FIDM Library by appointment.

Museum & Galleries
The museum is located on the ground floor of the Los Angeles campus and houses a collection of over 12,000 costumes, accessories and textiles from the 18th century through the present day, including film and theater costume. The FIDM Museum also houses the early Hollywood Costume Collection on loan from the City of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation. It presents the annual Motion Picture Costume Design exhibition at the galleries.

FIDM Museum Shop
Our museum Shop features one-of-a-kind treasures you won't find anywhere else. Besides merchandise related to the Museum's various exhibitions, the ever-changing selection includes hand-crafted jewelry by notable FIDM Alumni, novel home and office accessories, greeting cards and stationery, books and DVDs, and gifts for children. FIDM Scholarship Store
This shopper's paradise on the Los Angeles campus is a favorite stop for fashionistas on a budget. Named "Best Boutique/Store in L.A." by the readers of Downtown News, the FIDM Scholarship Store sells new clothing, jewelry, fabric, and accessories donated by top fashion companies. All proceeds benefit the FIDM Scholarship Fund. The inventory is constantly refreshed, so you never know what you'll find: wedding gowns, cocktail dresses, jeans, tees, fabric for $2 a yard – you've just got to check it out.
