Designer, Women’s Sweaters

Conceive and develop new knit designs and sketches for women’s apparel from concept through market, understanding a brand’s target consumer and positioning in the marketplace and keeping ahead of trends.

Associate Designer, Knitwear

Support all aspects of knitwear development, from concept through final product, under the supervision of the Senior Knitwear Designer. Work with the Technical Design and Production Departments to source and fit sample garments.

Technical Designer

Use computer applications to generate technical designs and specifications. Determine the most efficient method of producing a garment to fit a market and price point. This creative problem-solver needs strong pattern making skills. Review prototypes and samples for quality control.

Senior Knitwear Designer

Lead the design team to develop and implement concepts as well as design and develop knitwear lines from concept through market. Oversee aesthetic development of each seasonal collection, including graphic, trim, and textile design. Develop and review proposals of color and fabrics with the Creative Director and VP of Design.

Associate Knit Colorist

Responsible for overall accuracy and consistency of color for solids, prints, and patterns across a brand’s woven and knit fabrications, including sweater yarn. Understand the color depth, value, saturation, cast and how to mix color. Develop and maintain a color library for solids and prints as well as the history of color approvals on a seasonal basis.

Knitwear Designer for Film and TV Costumes

Research, concept, and develop knitwear designs for characters in film and television, working with the film’s Director and Costume Designer to develop designs that reflect the vision of the director, including historical references, character background and traits, and other aspects of the production.

Design Coordinator

Oversee communication between designers and vendors, assist with the production of pattern books, and maintain calendars and deadlines.
