General Questions

Return Policy?

Full refunds for our summer programs are to be provided up until May 1, 2023. To request a refund, please contact Spencer Williams at sjwilliams@fidm.edu.

Refunds will not be provided after the May 1st deadline.

What if I can't attend?

If you can't attend our programs but want to know more about FIDM, request more information about all of our exciting majors.

What do I wear?

Clothing should always be college appropriate (not too short or revealing). Some workshops require the use of hot glue guns and other crafting materials, so dress accordingly.

Do I need to bring money?

There are numerous shopping opportunities during our summer programs, including FIDM's Scholarship Store, pop-up shops, and the FIDM Book Store. You may also decide to bring cash for on-site vending machines.

Pre-College Summer Program For High School Students

Who can attend?

Our three-day program is created for high school students of any grade, including incoming ninth grade students.

How can I see an agenda for this event?

We are still finalizing our agenda and will email all registrants once it is available. The agenda will also be published on the event registration page.

How much does the Pre-College Summer Program For High School Students cost?

The cost of the three-day Pre-College Summer Program For High School Students is $250.00 per student. Fashion Club Presidents are invited to attend at no cost, and Accepted FIDM Students may attend the event at a discounted rate. Supplies are included.

Does the fee include lodging and transportation?

Lodging and transportation to and from the Pre-College Summer Program For High School Students are not included. For information about hotels located in the surrounding areas of the campus, please visit our hotel information page.

Can you earn college credit for this course?

This program does not offer college credit. Our credited program is the FIDM Summer Program, happening on Monday, June 26, 2023 - Friday, June 30, 2023.

Where can I attend?

This event is taking place in person on the FIDM Los Angeles campus.

What types of workshops are being offered?

The workshops for 2023 are being finalized. Topics may include:

We will offer a Parent/Guardian Program for the Pre-College Summer Program For High School Students. More details will be announced soon.

FIDM Summer Program

Who can attend?

Our five-day college credit program is designed exclusively for high school juniors and seniors, recent high school graduates, and college students.

How much does the FIDM Summer Program cost?

The cost of the five-day FIDM Summer Program is $500.00 per student.

Does the fee include lodging and transportation?

Lodging and transportation to and from the FIDM Summer Program are not included. For information about hotels located in the surrounding areas of the campus, please visit our hotel information page.

Can you earn college credit for this course?

Upon successful completion of the FIDM Summer Program, each student earns one college credit that may be applied toward a FIDM degree. For other colleges or universities, course credits are applied to degree requirements at the discretion of the accepting institution.

The courses for 2023 are being finalized. With a focus on sustainability, the lectures and workshops mirror actual college-level discussions and coursework.
