Grad Is Exec Director of Freedom and Fashion

FIDM Grad Laverne Delgado-Small, the executive director of Freedom and Fashion, has been putting on story-driven fashion shows since 2008. On November 18, 2017, a fashion show entitled, "Young Americans," will express the struggles of the young generation as they fight for justice, equality, and acceptance. 

“For many of us the political climate is a hot topic right now, and it’s affecting them as well. So this is their narration of what it’s like to be a young American in a time like now, overcoming the things they’re overcoming," Laverne told Pasadena Now. 

The upcoming show will be held at CTRL Collective Pasadena and feature a 15-piece collection inspired by the stories of Freedom and Fashion’s students.
