"ManMode: Dressing the Male Ego" is a beautifully curated small exhibition of menswear currently on display in the downtown FIDM Museum & Galleries. The room, alongside the galleries showing the Television Costume Design exhibition, is packed with marvelous pieces from the permanent collections representing three centuries of fabulous menswear. Transparent jeans from Alexander McQueen, a Rudi Gernreich caftan, a Thom Browne suit of short pants and cropped cape jacket in shades of grey, a vintage '70s style fur maxi coat from Alexandre, and Ray Bolger's impeccably tailored black tie and top hat ensemble are a few of the treasures on exhibit till December 23.
