Jenna Piantedosi Nominated by FGI as Rising Star

Alumna Jenna Piantedosi has been nominated by Fashion Group International (FGI) as a rising star in womenswear. Designer John Varvatos will deliver the keynote address and previous winner Jason Wu will be presenting the Womenswear award at FGI’s 21st Annual Rising Star Awards at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York on January 25.

Jenna graduated from FIDM in 2010 with her Merchandise Product Development degree, and launched J. Dosi with her fall 2017 collection. In an interview last year, the luxury fashion designer said, "Attending FIDM was the best decision I ever made. I am so grateful!" When asked what advice she has for aspiring designers, she said, "Build relationships with your professors, faculty and students. You will get out of FIDM what you put in. Never give up, and believe in yourself."
