Instagram Picks Up Speed

With 700 million users per month, analysts say that Instagram has reached "escape velocity," the ability to turn into the next Facebook—a  social media app that will not go away. In a New York Times interview, founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Kreiger discuss how they intend to ramp up for even more rapid growth. "The primary reason we've scaled quickly in the last 100 million users is that we figured to unbreak ourselves." Or remove the internal bottlenecks regarding decision-making and external barriers like adding an improved version of Stories borrowed from rival Snapchat.
