Beyond Bling Exhibit Dazzles with Modernity

Need inspiration for your latest jewelry or accessories project? A small gallery at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art featuring about 50 pieces from avant-garde contemporary jewelry designers is bound to spur ideas. Grouped by themes like vegetable, plastic, metal, the art works are part of a larger donation from collector Lois Boardman. Beyond Bling means an oversized necklace made of Legos, a chunk of raw quartz made into a dazzling ring, and a chest-plate crafted of peacock feathers and suede. Till February 5th at LACMA.
