In its latest retail experiment, Amazon has announced the introduction of a special service that will allow Amazon Prime members to try on up to 15 items at home before payment is made. To sweeten the deal, they will also cover the shipping costs. The goal is to make e-commerce as painless as possible, and thereby own the apparel retail market. Business analysts tell the New York Times that, "by the end of this year, Amazon will become the largest apparel retailer in the U.S. at the same time as many brick-and-mortar retailers are closing stores or filing for bankruptcy."
