Urban Outfitters Recruits on LA Campus for Summer 2019 Internships at HQ in Philadelphia

Urban Outfitters recruiters who focus on design and buying recently visited the Los Angeles campus to meet with prospective interns for their Summer 2019 Summer Internship Program. Brooke Mawson, Kristin Summers, and Heather Carey brought with them two design managers from the Free People brand and met students across majors to fill full-time paid internships for June 3, 2019 through August 9, 2019.

Last summer, IMPD Student (now grad) Anastasia Cunningham was hired as an intern at Anthropologie. Out of 6,000 applicants, she was one of 70 accepted into the program.

Among the intern positions for which they are recruiting are: accounting, buying, design (men’s, women’s, home), graphic design, marketing, photo studio, planning, product development/production, social media, styling (men’s, women’s, home), textile, user interface design, and video creation.

Interns can expect their summer in Philadelphia to kick off with a meet and greet BBQ. Throughout their internship, they’ll be invited to departmental presentations, including marketing and coffee chats with the president. As an added bonus, they can bring their dogs to work.

Interns are given access to a private Facebook group so they can connect with one another on things like housing. There are plenty of affordable housing options in the summer as Urbn is located in a college town, close to University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and Temple University.

All applicants must submit a video through HireVue. The application deadline is November 30, 2018. The recruiters expect to bring out about 300 applicants to Philadelphia to interview for 80 positions across their brands including Urban Outfitters, Free People, Anthropologie, BHLDN, and Terrain. Interviews will be held on December 13 and 14 in Philadelphia, and final decisions will be made in January.

Applicants are encouraged to follow Urbn on Instagram @urbncommunity and @urbn_internships, and can email any questions to homeofficeinternships@urbn.com.
