The Top 5 Recent FIDM Industry Collabs You Need to Know About

From Converse to Levi's, FIDM Students get real world experience by collaborating with some of the biggest brands on earth. 

Connecting our students with our Industry Partners both inside and outside the classroom means maximum networking and career growth opportunities. Class projects include working directly with execs from leading companies like Disney, TOMS, GUESS?, Inc., and 7 for All Mankind on custom assignments, special projects, and commissioned work. Here are just a few of our recent collaborations: 

1. ConverseInternational Manufacturing & Product Development (IMPD) Students collaborated with Converse over the course of a year to create concept collections for Generation Z male and female consumers living in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Milan. 

2. GAPVisual Communications Students in the Design Installation class worked to design and execute a set of windows for the retailer, discussed the products, inspirations, and trends for the brands they'll be featuring. 

3. Levi's: In celebration of Levi’s® 501® Day, more than 50 FIDM Students, including Business of Denim majors, reinvented the classic 501® style into works of wearable art that were on view and available for purchase at the Levi’s store in Santa Monica, California.

4. GUESS: Top fashion designers from Guess made a special visit to the Creative Patternmaking Design class recently on the Los Angeles campus to mentor FIDM Students on design sustainability projects. 

5. NIKE: IMPD Students learned about all phases of the product development cycle while collaborating with NIKE for the year--including a visit to Nike Headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
