FIDM Signs Articulation Agreement With Santa Monica College

SMC Students May Now Transfer into FIDM Bachelor's Degree Programs as Juniors

FIDM is pleased to announce its articulation agreement with Santa Monica College, a public, two-year, community college in Santa Monica, California.

"I am pleased to announce that FIDM has signed an articulation agreement with Santa Monica College," said FIDM's Vice President of Education, Barbara Bundy. "This agreement provides eligible SMC students with a direct pathway into FIDM, allowing junior-level transfers into the bachelor's degree programs in Creative Industry Studies, Business Management, Interior Design, Digital Cinema, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Fashion Knitwear Design." 

The agreement will serve as a template for additional articulation agreements within California and nationwide, and is expected to build enrollments in these programs in 2019 and beyond. 

FIDM prepares students to enter the industries of Fashion, Visual Arts, Interior Design, and Entertainment. Graduates enter the global market as highly trained professionals, ready to make a contribution. FIDM offers Associate of Arts, Professional Designation, Advanced Study, Bachelor's and Master's Degree programs designed to enhance a variety of educational backgrounds.

Santa Monica College is a two-year community college accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The community college opened in 1929 with just 153 students. It has now grown to​ a thriving campus with approximately 34,000 students and offerings in more than 100 fields of study.
