FIDM Grad Creates Sustainable Swimwear Line

Francesca Lagudi was a student in Business Management when she launched Free Bella, her sustainable swimwear line. Two years later, she continues to refine her ideas with her affordably priced, sustainable, and made in LA collection of one-and-two piece swimsuits.

In an interview with California Apparel News, Lagudi said, "We are using recycled polyester that came from plastic PET bottles. It's been an interesting discovery to find these eco-materials that are available to us." The former Merchandise Product Development student also revealed that her sewing contractors are located blocks from FIDM.
