Do you dream of being a designer, stylist, or the next Anna Wintour? Then join us at FIDM to see what it takes to have a career in fashion. You’ll learn from some of the most successful people in the business and develop new skills like trend spotting, fashion sketching, pattern design, and prop styling.
In conjunction with Biz Kid Edu, FIDM is presenting an immersive college experience to students from the U.S and around the world.
Over the course of 13 days, students will participate in an immersive college experience by taking a college course on 20th Century Fashion taught by FIDM Instructors.
In addition to the college course, which earns students three college credits for FIDM, there will be hands-on workshops like fashion sketching, draping, and interior design, and an afternoon trend-spotting on Melrose.
In conjunction with Experience America, FIDM is presenting a comprehensive summer program for high school students interested in fashion design, trend spotting, styling, and merchandising.
This immersive program, The Business of Fashion: Concept to Consumer, exposes students to all aspects of fashion from identifying trends to turning them into saleable designs. Hands-on workshops include fashion sketching, pattern drafting, draping, and prop styling from prominent FIDM Instructors at our visually stunning, award winning Los Angeles campus.
The program also includes an off-site trend spotting exploration in the heart of the entertainment and fashion industries.
