Students train in certified industry facilities and have access to the latest innovative techniques and processes. The program includes Study Tours to agricultural sites, textiles mills, and finishing labs which will advance students' abilities and provide them with specialized knowledge of this industry.
The program provides students with the opportunity to analyze fabrics and their properties beyond the basic textile science classes. They gain knowledge that is usually obtained only by mid or top level employees traveling to factories and fabric mills. The Advanced Study Program in Textile Production & Development is designed to promote a unique education for students in the areas of advanced textile production, industry sustainability, and textile finishing. Students will be prepared to enter and succeed in the international world of textile development from fiber conception to finished marketable consumer products. Students will train in certified industry facilities which will immerse the student in the latest innovative techniques and processes from a global perspective. Study tours to agricultural sites, textile mills, and finishing labs will advance the students’ ability to apply their knowledge to the ever-changing industry.
