In the Textile Design Program, students learn to research and incorporate current and historic trends in color, imagery, and fabric for a variety of markets, gaining an understanding of the production and application of textiles. Students learn to design and create printed and woven textiles using such skills as traditional painting techniques and state-of-the-industry technology. In completing their degree, they must conceptualize and style a textile line and develop and present a portfolio of their work.
