    Playful pop-ups from Vetements and Daft Punk, staged during  New York Fashion Week, underline LA's growing importance as a creative city that doesn't do business as usual. "A potent mix of brands, affluent shoppers, and hipster influencers increasingly co-mingle, far beyond the traditional confines of New York and its industry-facing fashion week," explains Business of Fashion. Los Angeles' looser culture makes it a "hub for fashion experimentation" in much the same way that film and music communities gather here. The Vetements "fashion show" was staged as a visit to the dry cleaners.
