GQ magazine named alumnus Matt Baldwin, founder of Baldwin Denim, "Best New Menswear Designer in America," proclaiming him one of the "newest, brightest, sharpest talents in the land."

His Kansas City-based denim label was founded in 2009, and he's since expanded to American-made shirts, tees, and chinos (worn by Jay-Z and George Clooney, among others) and designed an exclusive collection for Gap.

“I have always had a strong spirit of entrepreneurism,” explains Matt. “Every decision of our product design, marketing, and branding is based on our experience in retail, which allows us to connect personally with our clients.”

Customers regularly tweet about discovering the jeans and then quickly proclaim them “the best.” Matt plans to expand the company while remaining true to its authenticity. “We are making an effort to bring back American jobs and quality American manufacturing. Baldwin is a company that backs our product 100 percent--we love authentic real denim.”
