Sportswear International Names Grad's Line Best New Denim Brand

Alumnus Trinidad Garcia III's L.A.-based premium denim label, Trinidad3, recently showed at Liberty Fashion Fairs in New York City and Las Vegas. 

Industry magazine, Sportswear International, named the collection "Best New Denim Brand," writing: "With their red waistbands and side stripes, the jeans are based off a Marine's dress uniform and have very unique washes. He also offers a magnificent denim jacket that is based off an old WWII model. Most importantly, though, he gives back to his fellow veterans by hiring them and featuring them as models in brand promotions."

The former U.S. Marine served for eight years prior to attending FIDM, where he earned three degrees from FIDM in three years: Apparel Industry Management, Menswear, and The Business of Denim. While this is his first season wholesaling, Trinidad reached customers directly by selling his designs out of a traveling Airstream trailer for the last few years. Trinidad3 has been spotted on NBA player Markelle Fultz of the Philadelphia 76ers and MLB player Aaron Judge of the NY Yankees.
